What do any of us really know about Amerie? Her interviews generally follow the same flow, guided by her refusal to answer questions outside of her professional life. No judgments here. It’s understood that opening your personal life to the public risks your sanity and privacy to a den of wolves. We don’t blame anyone for locking it away, but Amerie is far from cold. In fact, she’s a bona fide sweetheart. There is no standoffish handshake and tight smile when she meets you, just warm hugs and sincerity.

Hanging out in Bergdorf’s at the CFDA’s Fashion’s Night Out during New York Fashion Week this fall, her softness peeked through. As the 30-year-old singer debated an oversized cheetah print, fur vest, there was an old Hollywood glamour that exuded from her — the kind where you feel like you’re observing her, interrupting her, eavesdropping maybe. Even so, she has an endearing, childish-like way of seeking attention.

From showing us her Michael Jackson moves to making a “Figure Eight” with her hair at the photo shoot, she invited us to watch her, to join her meticulously created and presented world. This theory strengthened when she locks herself into the hair and makeup room for 30 minutes to take some personal time, when she positions herself strategically in the light for every shot, when she tells us she does most of her dressing and styling herself.

Go ahead Amerie! Out of all the performances she has done for this song to me this was definately her best one! She looked more sexy and serious instead of smiling too much like her other performances. Just overall a much better performance for the song! GET IT!

Amerie's new album "In Love & War" is probaly one of the best r&b albums to come out this year. I applaud Amerie for creating another original dope album. I think I can speak for all Amerie fans and say promotion hasn't gone aswell as we would have liked. Columbia Records was doing about just as much promo with Amerie as Def Jam currently is. Issues with shipping and issues with Itunes for the first week was another problem Amerie's team had to deal with. Amerie posted on her twitter account about her fustration. With that said the album debuted at #46 on the Billboard 200 with 12,421 copies sold. When I purchased the album at Best Buy I had to ask a worker where the album was. He had to go in the back of the store to bring copies out as there was none displayed in the store under her name or in the new release section. Please Def Jam do some more promotion on our girl Amerie and please every Amerie fan better go out and purchase the album! NOW!

Amerie's new album comes out on Tuesday November 3rd! After listening to the album over and over I had to write a review. I break it down track by track. This is coming from a long time Amerie fan so here is what I think. After reading my review leave your own review under the comments!

1.Tell Me You Love Me - Amerie's fourth album "In Love & War" starts off with Amerie's signature sound on "Tell Me You Love Me". Her vocals, the beat, chorus, all of it to me sounds good on this song. Love! 4.5/5
2. Heard Em All - LOVE THE BEAT. Honestly one of my favorite Amerie tracks ever! 5/5
3. Dangerous - I like the feel of this song. Don't get me wrong the song is good but I just feel like it is missing something. 4/5
4. Higher - I LIVE FOR THIS TRACK! I just wish the verses were longer I guess only because I Love the track so much! 5/5
5. Why R U - 4/5
6. Pretty Brown Eyes ft Trey Songz - Its alright! I like the end of the song "We belong together forever ever ever forever and ever and ever yeah" (4/5)
7. More Than Love ft Fabolous - After a few listens I started really digging this track. The collabo with Fab works out really well. 4/5
8. Swag Back - Arguably the best track on the album! Not my personal favorite because "Higher" is too awesome, but this track definately comes close! It is more pop friendly than what our gurl A normally does, but she still keeps her own style to the song. Sick beat, great lyrics, and very radio friendly. LOVES IT! 4.5/5
9. Youre A Star (interlude) - Hey wait a minute the first few lyrics from "Hate 2 Love U".. Aight since there are really only 12 songs on the album (X out Heard Em All Remix and this interlude) I would have been happier with another track. 3.5/5
10. Red Eye - I really like the feel of this song. Amerie's voice sounds sexy and relaxing. Another sick beat!4/5
11. The Flowers - I'm not sure about this one honestly. The more I listen the more I like the song though so I'm probaly going to change my mind on this one. 3/5
12. Different People - She did this one right to me. Definately not her best slower song, but its good! 4/5
13. Dear John - This isn't a terrible song, I just don't think it's that good. 2.5/5
14.Heard Em All ft Lil Wayne (Remix) - The "Why R U (Remix)" is alot better! Its hot. This is the same song just Lil Wayne in it... Blah
